Alterations and Mending

Alterations

Have you ever seen a woman or man walk by in great looking clothes -- but something about their outfit is just not right?

Chances are it's fit.  And when your clothes don't fit well you can't present the sophisticated, well-dressed look that we all seek.  Why?   Clothing off the rack is made for the "average" person and none of us are average.   Patti can help you achieve a sophisticated custom look by:

  • Hemming so that skirts fall to the most attractive length and pants don't bunch up on top of your shoes or drag on the ground. Patti does all type of hemming from blue jeans to suits.

  • Taking up the straps on a gown so that the bodice fits correctly. Prom dresses -- especially those bought on line -- often need some alterations to fit young, slender bodies.

  • Taking in the side seams of an outfit... or letting them out to get the best fit... and more. Resizing clothing is one of Patti's specialties.

If you have a great outfit but you're not sure it looks great on you then it's time to email Patti or give her a call.

Mending

A rip or a tear doesn't have to mean the end of wearing your favorite outfit.  Talk to Patti about the many ways a rip or a tear can be mended and disguised so that only you -- and Patti -- will know that anything was ever mended.

Broken Zippers

It's your favorite jacket but you don't wear it because the zipper is broken.  Patti can help by replacing the old zipper with a new one.

Loose Buttons

Back to the closet and the shirt goes where? Take it to Patti so this doesn't happen again.
